Threefold increase in sales by the Talpiot division of Matrix in 2006 (January 16, 2007)
Two and a half years after the establishment of the Talpiot division of Matrix, the division that provides offshore outsourcing services in Israel, its managers report a threefold increase in sales in 2006 by comparison with 2005. In the course of 2006 the division achieved sales of NIS 24 million, by comparison with NIS 8 million in 2005. The number of people employed in the division, in principle ultra-Orthodox women, increased during 2006 from 180 to over 300. In addition, in 2006 Matrix set up another development center for Talpiot in the town of Beit Shemesh, in addition to the existing development center in Modiin Ilite. Matrix anticipates a continued steep increase in the division’s activities, and income of NIS 45 million during 2007
According to Ronen Engler, VP Marketing and Sales for the Matrix division, “the fact that Matrix operates outside the big cities, on the model of offshore outsourcing, with top quality and highly motivated staff given comprehensive training, enables us to offer high standard and very attractive services.” Dozens of Israeli and international customers, including high-tech companies, companies in the field of finance and telecom, start-ups and large computer units, have already joined the list of customers of the Talpiot development center. Among these customers are: Bank Leumi, the Ministry of Finance, Menorah, Partner and others. “The increase in the number of customers, and the increase in the number of people in each of the customer companies, shows the success of the model, and even more than that, shows the practical experience that Talpiot has gained over the past three years, enabling it to offer top quality solutions based on a methodology for remote project implementation, development and QA”, says Ronen Engler, emphasizing the added value and advantages of the Talpiot services.
