Matrix wins the first place in the category of promoting employment in the Israel Management Center competition for excellence in human resources, for promoting women from the ultra-Orthodox sector in its Talpiot venture (March 22, 2005)

Matrix’s Talpiot venture, established two years ago and currently employing 200 women from the ultra-Orthodox sector, last week won an award for excellence for its promotion of employment in the ultra-Orthodox sector. The prize was given in the category of “human resources for promoting employment”, and it was awarded at the Excellence in Human Resource Management 2006 ceremony held by the Israel Management Center and the Israel Association for Human Resource Management, Development and Research.

“Human resources in the Matrix Talpiot division represent a critical aspect in setting up and managing the venture”, said the award committee.

Matrix’s Talpiot division employs ultra-Orthodox women in the town of Modiin Ilite as software developers and testers. The center was established two years ago, and is based on the highest quality workforce, made up of ultra-Orthodox women with qualifications that are the equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computers or a degree as computer practical engineers. By means of this unique development center, Matrix can provide its customers with local offshore outsourcing services, with all the offshore advantages alongside unique advantages of service in the local language and culture, the professional support of the Matrix technology center, intensive professional training by John Bryce Training (the Matrix training division) and a negligible percentage of dropout by the staff.
