Senior Nigerian Delegation Visits Matrix Outsourcing Center (September 20, 2006)
A senior delegation from Nigeria visited Israel to participate in a first of its kind course in e-Government for countries interested in the field.
The delegation visited Talpiot to review the offshore services provided by Matrix through its Talpiot development center and to explore first hand the possibility of employing high quality personnel via the center. The group studied twenty-five projects in a wide range of technologies that are currently under way at Talpiot. These include work for high-tech start-ups, software development shops, banks, telecommunications companies, governmental organizations and others.
The visiting delegation consisted of ten senior representatives, including advisers to the Nigerian President and his deputies, and included representatives from the Nigerian ministries of Science and Technology. They arrived last week to spend five days studying the e-Government and Merkava projects in Israel.
Members of the delegation also reviewed the demanding training that Talpiot staff receive, starting with a comprehensive course over several months given by the John Bryce Training Instititue - the Matrix training division.
The program was organized by Itzik Cohen, senior assistant to the Accountant General in the Israeli Ministry of Finance, and Boaz Dolev, director of the Tehilla project.
Ronen Engler, VP Marketing and Sales of Talpiot, noted that the Nigerian delegation expressed considerable interest in the special model of Talpiot. Engler added that Matrix would continue to host other delegations from around the world coming to study in the e-Government course.
Talpiot employs hundreds of developers engaged in software and QA projects.
